Article ID: 249743

This article was previously published under Q249743

NOTE: The procedures in this article only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate or Workgroup option. With this option, you can use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, click About Microsoft Outlook on the Help menu. If you have the Corporate or Workgroup installation, you see "Corporate or Workgroup".

SYMPTOMS

You have delegate permissions to another person's mailbox. You open that mailbox and then open some folders, adding them to the Most Recently Used (MRU) list. You then configure Outlook for offline use, synchronize your folders, and start Outlook offline. The MRU list may now behave erratically, both while online and offline. You may have duplicate items or items that do not work in your MRU list.

CAUSE

This problem is caused because the Open Others MRU and the offline settings preferences are sharing the same preference IDs. Depending on which acts last, your preferences may be overwritten.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

To obtain SR-1/SR-1a, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
