When you copy an object from Adobe PhotoShop and paste it into a Microsoft Publisher 2000 publication, PhotoShop may appear to quit unexpectedly and the program icon may no longer appear on the Microsoft Windows taskbar.
NOTE: PhotoShop does appear in Windows Task Manager (Microsoft Windows NT 4.0) and in the Close Program dialog box (Microsoft Windows 95/98).
To prevent this behavior from occurring, use either of the following methods.
Use Paste Special
When you paste the object into your Publisher 2000 publication, use the Paste Special command. To do this, click Paste Special on the Edit menu, and then click Paste as picture.
Drag and Drop the Object
Drag the object from the Adobe PhotoShop window and drop it into your publication in the Microsoft Publisher 2000 window.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
