XWEB: Buttons on the Outlook Navigation Bar Include Paths to Folders

Article ID: 249533

Article Last Modified on 2/21/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q249533

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) against an Exchange 2000 Server mailbox, the Outlook navigation bar functions correctly but the button labels include the path to the folder, for example, Personal stuff\Calender or Personal stuff\Tasks.

Buttons labels on the Microsoft Outlook client do not include the path to the folder; the buttons only list the name of the folder, for example, Calendar.

CAUSE

This can happen if you used an older e-mail client such as the Microsoft Exchange Client to move "special" folders such as the Contacts or Calendar folders.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
