The message “Cannot read file” will be received on a network for one of the following reasons:
- The file you are attempting to load has already been loaded (for read-write access) by another user on the network.
- You are running Multiplan on a Novell network and you do not have the Novell READ, OPEN, and SEARCH privileges in the directory from which you are attempting to load an existing file.
- Multiplan cannot read a file for other reasons such as incorrect filename, damaged file, wrong drive, or wrong directory.
