SYMPTOMS
When table(s) are transferred from SQL Server 7.0 to Oracle7.x or Oracle 8.x using the Microsoft OLE-DB Provider for Oracle in Data Transformation Services (DTS), they are enclosed in double quotes when created in Oracle.
WORKAROUND
Query the table(s) using quotes in Oracle.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
