When you try to capture or play back sound by using a Yamaha OPL3 sound card on a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, the capture and playback features appear to loop after playing a couple seconds of audio.

This behavior can occur when you add a Yamaha OPL3 sound card to a computer that has an Intel Portland motherboard and a built-in Sound Blaster sound card. It can also occur when the Yamaha card is using interrupt request line (IRQ) 9.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
