SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade your computer to Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and then use an IBM IdeaScan scanner, the scanning process takes up to 8 to 10 minutes for a simple scan on basic settings. This occurs when you use the vendor software, Microsoft PhotoDraw, and Adobe PhotoShop image editing programs. However, scanning the same image on the same settings in Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 takes only two to three minutes.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
