WD2000: Grammar Checker Does Not Suggest Commas After Days

SYMPTOMS

When you click Spelling and Grammar on the Tools menu, the grammar checker does not suggest commas after the days.

For example, type the following sentence:

In addition, I will be on vacation from Monday October 25 through Friday October 29th.


When you perform a grammar check, commas are not suggested after the words Monday and Friday.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually insert commas where appropriate.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Word 2000.
