SUMMARY

After you install Internet Explorer, the entry for Windows 95 Service Pack 1 may be missing from the list of installed programs in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is by design. The installation of Internet Explorer removes this entry to prevent uninstallation of newly updated system components. Removing these updated components could leave your computer unusable. Note that after installingInternet Explorer 4.0, reinstallation of Windows 95 Service Pack 1 is not recommended.
