SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, when you attempt to insert an object created from a file and you specify a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path to the file, no files appear in the Insert Object dialog box. This behavior only occurs on Windows 95.
NOTE: To locate the Insert Object dialog box, click Object on the Insert menu.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem and display all the files in the shared directory, click All Files in the List Files Of Type drop-down list. The list will be refreshed and the files in the shared directory will appear.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
