SUMMARY
In the SEGA exporter interface there is an option called Texture Slice Density Control that has two options: Polygon Surface Pixels per SI Unit and Texture Resolution Density Factor. Using the latter, even with a very small value, may produce below average results, as well as a disproportionately large .txr file.
The Polygon Surface Pixels per SI unit option usually produces better results and depending on the scene’s dimension, you can make slight adjustments to ensure it produces a reasonable texel size. To guarantee that the size of the texture slices does not exceed the values you enter, you can limit the size of each texture slice.
