Microsoft Word may print the border of a table even if you delete the table.

This problem occurs when you do the following:

  1. Turn on the Mark Revisions While Editing option and turn off the "Show Revisions in Printed Document" option.

NOTE: To access these options, click Revisions on the Tools menu.

  1. Delete the table.
  2. Print the document.

To resolve this problem, upgrade to Microsoft Word 97 for Windows.

To work around this problem, accept the revision for the deletion of the table and then print the document. The border of the table will not be printed.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows.
