If you have a hyperlink in an HTML document that links to a Microsoft Excel workbook, the hyperlink may fail to work, or if it does work, your workbook may be opened in a separate window instead of within your browser.
You may experience the above behavior if you do the following:
- Click a hyperlink in an HTML document that opens a Microsoft Excel workbook within the browser window. -and-
- Click the Back button in your browser to return to the HTML document with the hyperlink. -and-
- Click the hyperlink again to display your workbook.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1). This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Excel 2000.
