When you insert a hyperlink into an unsaved document (click Hyperlink on the Insert menu), Microsoft Word displays the following message:
If you click Yes and save the document as type HTML Document, Word does not insert the hyperlink.
To work around this problem, use any of the following methods:
- Save the document as HTML before inserting the hyperlink.
- Click Yes when you are prompted to save the document, and then save as a format other than HTML.
- Click No when you are prompted to save the document, insert the hyperlink, and then save the document as HTML.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
