SYMPTOMS
After you save a workbook in an earlier version of Microsoft Excel, any UserForms in the file are lost.
Note that you do not receive a warning message that indicates that Microsoft Excel will fail to save the UserForms.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if all of the following conditions are true:
- You add a UserForm to a Microsoft Excel 97 workbook. -and-
- You save the file in a file format for an earlier version of Microsoft Excel.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
A UserForm is a new feature in Microsoft Excel 97 and is not supported by earlier versions of Microsoft Excel.
