Money 98: Uninstalling Netscape 3.0 Hangs Money

SYMPTOMS
If you uninstall Netscape Navigator 3.0 and then attempt to run Microsoft Money, Money stops responding (hangs).
CAUSE
When you remove Netscape Navigator 3.0, it removes a Windows registry key that the Microsoft Internet Explorer component of Money needs to function.
RESOLUTION
Microsoft has created a .reg file (Htmkey.reg), to resolve this issue. The file is available for download from the Microsoft Software Library:
~ Htmkey.exe

Save the file to a location on your hard disk drive and then double-click Htmkey.exe. This extracts two files:
- Htmkey.reg (1Kb in size)
- Readme.txt (1Kb in size)
The Readme.txt file contains information on how to use this file.

This readme file contains information on what to do once the .reg file htmkey.exe has been downloaded. Follow the steps below to resolve the problem in Money 98.
- Quit Money.
- Go to the location where you saved Htmkey.exe and double-click the htmkey.reg file.
- When notified that this was successfully registered, click OK.
