XCLN: Exchange Macintosh Client Hangs When Using Shift+F10

PSS ID Number: 173124

Article Last Modified on 10/28/2004

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange Macintosh client 5.0 SP1

This article was previously published under Q173124

When you access the Secondary Mouse menu using the SHIFT+F10 key combination on a Macintosh computer that is running Apple Macintosh OS 8.0, the application may stop responding. You must "Force Quit" using the Command key+OPTION+ESC. All unsaved changes are lost.

To work around this problem, continue to use Apple Macintosh System 7.x. Use the CTRL+mouse button combination to access the Secondary Mouse menu.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Client version 5.0 for Macintosh. Microsoft is working with Apple Computer to resolve this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
