SUMMARY

The printer drivers for the following Canon printers have been updated since the original posting on the Microsoft download areas.

   Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-240
   Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-4200
   Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-4550
   Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-610
   Canon Bubble-Jet BJC-620

The changes were necessary to address the following issues:

  • Service Pack 3 causes a regression that affects some Canon Bubble-Jets when manual page breaks are used in a document.


  • Printable areas are off for Canon 4550. Adjustments were made for letter, A4, and ledger.


  • Printable areas are off for Canon 4200. Adjustments were made for letter.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but is not fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
