SYMPTOMS
Progress lines are drawn incorrectly for milestone tasks. For example, if you set a milestone task to appear in row 2 of your Gantt Chart and you choose to show progress lines, the progress lines will be drawn in row 1.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you place the milestone tasks in a row other than row 1.
NOTE: To specify the placement of a milestone task, click Bar Styles on the Format menu. To show or hide progress lines, point to Tracking on the Tools menu, and then click Progress Lines.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem so that the progress lines are drawn correctly, set the row placement for milestone tasks to row 1.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
