SYMPTOMS

When you use the COPY command from a command prompt to copy a file, if the file already exists, you are not prompted to verify overwriting the existing file.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, ensure that the file you are copying does not already exist at the target location.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
