SUMMARY
This article describes how to configure the Miroconnect 34 sound card for Microsoft ActiMates characters or the Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick.
This information was tested with the following sound card drivers:

The latest Miroconnect driver update is currently only available on the Miro installation CD-ROM.
To add or update the Miroconnect drivers, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add New Hardware.
- Click Next.
- Click No, and then click Next.
- Click Sound, Video And Game Controllers, click Next, and then click Have Disk.
- Type the path to where the updated driver files are located, and then click OK.
- Click the Miroconnect 34 sound card, and then click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish. If you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
Before Windows restarts, you should receive New Hardware Found messages stating that Windows has found new hardware and is installing the software for it.
The listing under Sound, Video And Game Controllers in Device Manager should read:
MiroCONNECT 34 Wave Adapter
Make sure there's not a red slash or yellow exclamation point beside the listing for this driver.
If you see a red slash next to the listing, follow these steps:
- Click the MiroCONNECT 34 Wave Adapter driver, and then click Properties.
- On the General tab, click the Original Configuration (Current) check box to select it, and then click OK.
If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to the listing, follow these steps:
- Click the MiroCONNECT 34 Wave Adapter driver, and then click Properties.
- On the Resources tab, click Set Configuration Manually, and then click OK. Do not change any of the resource settings listed.
- Restart the computer.
If the yellow exclamation mark is still present, start the Hardware Conflict Troubleshooter, and follow the instructions on the screen.
