SYMPTOMS
After you use the Internet Assistant for Microsoft Excel to save the contents of an Excel worksheet as a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) file, hyperlinks that link to charts may not work.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You add the HTML document to a FrontPage Web. -and-
- You save the HTML document to a subfolder of the FrontPage Web.
The HTML document that is created from the Excel worksheet is saved into the correct subfolder. However, the GIF files that are created from charts on the Excel worksheet are saved into the root directory of the FrontPage web.
WORKAROUND
Move the GIF files created by the Internet Assistant Wizard to the subfolder that contains the HTML document that is created by the Internet Assistant Wizard.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
