SUMMARY
If you try to look up a word highlighting text on the desktop and then using the QuickShelf, the search takes much longer to complete if you are using Apple’s Mac OS 8 than it does with System Software 7.x.
In tests of a beta version of Mac OS 8, with Bookshelf already running, a search took approximately 60 seconds to complete on a Power Macintosh 7100/80 and 9500/120.
NOTE: Looking up a word from another application takes much less time.
