Last reviewed: July 11, 1997
Article ID: Q171198

The information in this article applies to:

  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.7
  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.7

SUMMARY

One of the new features in SOFTIMAGE 3D v3.7 is that you can now interactively change the clipping plane settings for the Front, Top, and Right window views. Look for the new option in the layout dialog box (ruler icon) for each of these windows; the option is called Clipping Planes.

If you are working with an earlier version, you can edit the Window.rsrc file to change the default, but there is no interaction and you have to restart SOFTIMAGE 3D each time you change this value.
