BUG #: 484 (Oracle)

SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Oracle Driver version 2.00.00.6325 may return views that belong to 'SYS' and 'SYSTEM' users for SQLTables with the 'VIEW' table type specified. The 'SYS' and 'SYSTEM' views are returned even if the user does not have permission to the system views.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Oracle Driver version 02.00.00.6325.

A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
