PRB: Exiting the Paint Tool Causes a Fatal Crash

SYMPTOMS

SOFTIMAGE 3D crashes when you exit the Paint tool by clicking the Cancel button.

CAUSE

This is a bug (# 2918).

RESOLUTION

If you are editing the UV coordinates in the Paint tool, make sure that you move at least one point before clicking Cancel to reduce the number of crashes.

STATUS

Softimage has confirmed this to be a bug. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
