SYMPTOMS
The text in the Microsoft Chat member list may be difficult to see, or may not be visible at all.
CAUSE
The system colors are set to a dark background with a light font.
RESOLUTION
Change the system colors to a light background with a dark font. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
- Click the Appearance tab.
- In the Item box, click Window.
- In the Item Color box, click a light background color.
- In the Font Color box, click a dark font color, and then click OK.
MORE INFORMATION
The member list background is always white because it does not use the system colors. When you set the system colors to a dark background with light text, the text in the member list is difficult to see.
