If you are printing to a Canon BJC-4100 printer, the "Improve Screen and Printer Color Matching" check box in the Print dialog box (on the File menu, click Print) and the Options dialog box (on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab) is unavailable (dimmed).
This symptom occurs when you use version 3.20 of the Canon BJC-4100 printer driver for Windows 95.
This may also apply to other Canon BJ series printers.
Update the Canon BJ series printer driver to version 3.70E This version of the printer driver supports Image Color Matching.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Publisher 97 supports Image Color Matching, where color printer output is processed at a closer rendition to that of screen colors and hues.
