Some of the clip art that ships with Microsoft PowerPoint 97 and Microsoft Office 97 are digital photographs stored in the JPEG File Interchange Format (.jpg) graphics format. These files are generally around 300x500 pixels and were created at about 170 dpi. They are located in the \Clipart\Photos folder on the Microsoft PowerPoint 97 or Microsoft Office 97 compact disc.

These photographs were licensed from a company called PhotoDisc. If you want to obtain additional images or higher resolution versions of these images, you can purchase them directly from PhotoDisc.

For additional information, open the Microsoft Word document called Photodsc.doc located in the \Clipart\Photos folder on the PowerPoint 97 or Office 97 compact disc. This document contains licensing information about the photos and information about how to contact PhotoDisc to obtain additional digital photographs or higher resolution versions of the digital photographs that come with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.

The third-party products discussed here are manufactured by PhotoDisc, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
