When a new entry with an X.400 address type is added to the Personal Address Book (PAB) and a DDA value is included, invalid characters are accepted in the DDA Type and Value fields.

The filter string for these fields is set to "*" which allows all characters.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0.
