BUG: Installing a Plug and Play Network Card
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Win32 Device Driver Kit (DDK) Windows 95, on platform(s):
- the hardware: Intel x86
When you install plug and play network cards on a computer with Windows 95 OSR2, you may encounter an error where the operating system will prompt you to input the complete path for the file it is trying to copy.
On encountering this error, you will have to provide the correct path to the file the operating system is looking for, and then the installation will proceed uninterrupted.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
