Microsoft KB Archive/169578
BUG: DriverCallback Return Value Invalid
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 95 Driver Development Kit (DDK)
DriverCallback returns an invalid value that has nothing to do with the status of the call.
DriverCallback incorrectly overwrites the actual return value right before the function exits.
The only workaround is to not use the return value as a reference for return status.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
