SYMPTOMS
CompactJetRepository doesn't recognize a database as a Jet database if the .MDB portion is capitalized.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This has been fixed with Visual Studio Service Pack 1.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
- Pass an uppercase path to a valid Jet database to the CompactJetRepository function.
Expected:
No error.
Results:
Can only compact Jet databases (*.mdb).
