When you create a copy of an ActiveX control by copying and pasting it to another location, any Visual Basic for Applications code associated with the events of the control will not be copied to the new instance of the control.

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 97.

For more information about using ActiveX controls, click the Index tab in Microsoft Excel Help, type the following text

ActiveX controls, overview

and then double-click the selected text to go to the "About adding buttons, check boxes, and other controls" topic.
