Deadly Tide: Err Msg: Out Of Scan Range

SYMPTOMS
When you start Deadly Tide and then enter the Pilot Control Center, you may receive the following error message:
Out of scan range
CAUSE
This occurs if you are using an S3 Virge VX, S3 Trio VX, or S3 Trio 64V video card.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, the display driver needs to be changed to 3D Velocity non-vision, English(US) using the following steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- On the Settings tab, click Change Display Type.
- Under Adapter Type, click Change.
- Under Models, click 3D Velocity non-vision English(US).
- Click OK and restart your computer to apply the change.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Deadly Tide, version 1.0.
