SUMMARY

After the Setup program is done copying files to the hard disk drive, it displays the following message:

Setup is updating your system...

Meanwhile, there is no feedback to let you know that Setup is actually making any progress. You will see the hourglass and the hard drive light will flash intermittently. This process can take several minutes, leading you to believe that the system has stopped responding (hung).

As long as the hard drive light is flashing intermittently, your system is still being updated. Once it is completed, you will receive a message stating that Setup has finished updating your system.

MORE INFORMATION

This portion of the Setup program is writing approximately 300 lines to the Registration database and it is modifying the WIN.INI, MSWORKS3.INI, and ARTGALRY.INI files. In some cases, Setup is also adding SHARE.EXE to the AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS files.
