You receive an application error in NTVDM.EXE when you print in the background and perform a Find File operation in Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0. After the error, Word stops responding (hangs).
NOTE: This problem may only occur when finding a file from a network share and using a 256-color video driver.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1.
