“Insufficient Memory for Program” Error When CALLing, CHAINing

Problem: I have a program that makes repeated CALLs and CHAINs to various COBOL subprograms. After executing the series of CALLs and CHAINs a number of times, I receive an “Insufficient memory” error message. This occurs in Microsoft COBOL Versions 2.00, 2.10, and 2.20 for MS-DOS and in Microsoft COBOL Versions 2.10 and 2.20 for XENIX.
