SYMPTOMS
You may encounter a problem with Event Viewer if it has been running for a long time and creating a lot of event logs. After several hours, Event Viewer starts to take more and more memory. It does not release memory properly when it performs certain operations on the event log. This problem occurs even when you instruct Event Viewer to keep to a maximum event log size.
