kbprg The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b

When you are using the Screen Builder, you can disable items in a list when the list is getting items from an array.

To disable a list item, concatenate a backslash (\) to the beginning of the array element by using the STUFF command. The following code example disables the item in a list when it is chosen. In the VALID snippet for the @ GET LIST command, type the following two lines

<array_name>(<list_variable>)=STUFF(<array_name>(<list_variable>),1,0,"\") SHOW GETS

where <array_name> is the name of the array used in the Screen Builder list option, and <list_variable> is the name of the Screen Builder variable used in the list.

NOTE: You can also disable a GET popup from an array in the Screen Builder.
