Long Endnote Separator Used with Exactly One Page of Text
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, version 6.0
When there is exactly one page of text and you insert an endnote, the long continuation separator is used on the second page instead of the normal short separator.
When there is not enough room at the bottom of the page for the endnote to be inserted, a long continuation separator is used on the following page instead of the shorter normal separator.
You can change the separator manually by following the instructions in the "Microsoft Word User's Guide," Chapter 18, "Footnotes and Endnotes," "Changing Separators and Adding Continuation Notices" section.
