SUMMARY

If you install Windows NT and do not create any local user accounts, the Username field on the Welcome screen will be blank when you start Windows NT the first time. To log on, you must log on as either a guest or the administrator, using the appropriate password.

MORE INFORMATION

If you create a user account when you set up Windows NT, the first time you log on, that user name appears in the Username box on the Welcome screen the first time you log on.

If no local user accounts are created during the Windows NT setup process, they can be added later using the User Manager application in the Administrative Tools group.
