Office: Can't Run Office Setup Program with Monochrome Display |

SYMPTOMS
When you run the Setup program for Microsoft Office version 3.0 for Windows, you may receive the error message "General Protection Fault in Module SETUP.ENG at XXXX:XXXX."
CAUSE
This error may be caused by a monochrome video driver. Although applications such as Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Word support monochrome displays, the Office Setup program does not.
The Microsoft Office Setup program requires a VGA or higher resolution video driver.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do one of the following:
- Install each application individually from its respective Setup program.
- Use a VGA or higher resolution video driver.
