When you print standard business envelopes, use the following guidelines:
- Do not force the envelope all the way into the manual feed slot. Stop feeding in the envelope as soon as you feel resistance. If you push the envelope all the way in, it will feed through and come out blank.
- Make sure the paper path knob on the back of the printer is down so the envelope feeds out the back of the printer.
- If you are printing without a return address, type the mailing address in the upper-left corner of the document.
- If a return address is included, type the return address in the upper-left corner of the document. Insert eight blank lines after the return address. Set a left indent 4 inches from the left before you start typing the mailing address.
- Feed the envelope face up on the left side of the manual feed slot with the stamp end first.
