------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a ------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== A large publication may become corrupt if you draw objects on the scratch area, save, switch to another page, print the publication, and then save again. The next time you open the publication you may receive the following error message: Application Error MSPUB caused a General Protection Fault in module MSPUB.EXE at 0009:1315. This problem usually occurs with very large publications that contain many objects. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Publisher for Windows, version 2.0a. MORE INFORMATION ================ Steps to Reproduce Problem -------------------------- 1. Create a large publication (20 to 50 pages long, with 25 to 60 objects per page). 2. Save the publication and exit from Publisher. 3. Restart Publisher and open the publication. 4. On page one, draw some objects on the scratch area. The objects should not touch the page. 5. Save the publication again. 6. Switch to page two. 7. Print the publication. 8. Save and close the publication. 9. Try to open the publication again. The error message appears, and you cannot open the file.
