Microsoft Defragmenter (Defrag) returns errorlevel 0 (no error) if you press ESC to exit. It should return errorlevel 3 (process stopped by user).

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MS-DOS version 6.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

For more information on Defrag exit codes, type "help defrag" (without the quotation marks) at the MS-DOS command prompt and then press ENTER.
