SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft Excel sheet, you can embed a sound object such that when you double-click the object, the sound will play. When you embed a sound object by choosing Insert Object from the Edit menu, selecting Sound from Object Type and then choosing OK, the Sound Recorder is displayed. If you then attempt to open a sound file by choosing Open from the File menu, you will receive the following error message: The Command you have chosen will close the connection of this embedded object. Update 'sound in {sheet name}' before proceeding? WORKAROUNDTo embed a sound object correctly, do the following after the Sound Recorder is displayed:
