The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, version 3.0

To create labels that contain the same repeated text, such as a return address, do the following:

  1. Open the Database and choose Design View from the Form menu.
  2. Choose New Form from the Form menu, select Label and select the correct label size, or select Custom Size and type the appropriate measurements.
  3. Choose OK.
  4. From the Window menu, choose Draw On or select the Draw tool from the tool palette.
  5. Select the Text tool from the tool palette.
  6. Select the area for the text on the label.
  7. Type the text that is to be shown on the label.
  8. From the Window menu, choose Draw Off.
  9. From the Form menu, choose Data View or select the Data tool from the tool palette.
  10. From the File menu, choose Print Preview to see how the labels will print.
  11. To print, choose Print from the File menu.

For more information about the tool palette, see page 91 of the “Microsoft Works User’s Guide.”

The number of labels that will print depends on the number of records shown in list view. For example, if only one record appears in list view, only one label will print. If you want just enough records to fill one page, create blank records in the database until you have enough to fill one page. To enter blank records, press the SPACEBAR key in each record.
