SUMMARY

McAfee SCAN versions 99 and 100 may incorrectly report the Israeli Boot [iboot] virus is active in memory if MS-DOS VSAFE is running.

This situation occurs when McAfee SCAN finds nonencrypted virus signatures in the VSAFE memory segment used to store the virus signatures.

McAfee is researching this problem.
