this "crack" is from AntiWPA and disable the 30days counter. But this is nonsense, because all later Updates will be available only if you pass the wga check. And a non activated Windows will fail the pass

It seems to pass if you're using the key that comes on the DVD - mine connects to Windows Update fine even though it's not activated, and doesn't display the messages about being non-genuine (which it does if it's failed validation)

So this means that Office Genuine Advantage Validation, which is being made compulsory for using Office Update very soon, is already dead in the water (as WGA/OGA works by blacklisting leaked keys, but if you can generate valid keys then that strategy doesn't work)?! Poor Microsoft...

that's right. OGA also fails on generated VLK for Office 2003

that was the same for XP, until they only allowed keys that they have given out

Yeah, I just got that as well - it seems to be related to the image in the first post of the topic, as that no longer displays and is on the Aero XP site.
Looks like they've put image leeching protection on. Thats why I always tell people to reupload it to BA to avoid it happening. Images uploaded to BA will always exist.
